"The natural cause of Medicine Wheels"

The "Medicine Wheel at Wanuskewin Heritage Park" is one of the best examples of "Giant Spheres" in the world.

Look at your first picture about the prairie and you will find a lot of circles marked by shortened grass but not so extremely shortened like the in the main circle with the "path".

Since March 2000 I have found many circles of this kind all over the world, but most are not clear visible like "Medicine Wheel at Wanuskewin Heritage Park". The circles are the traces of shells of gigantic spheres in the rocks. These spheres often occur in sandstone, limestone, quartzite and other rocks too.

The physical and chemical differences of the stones in these spheres, respectively their shells, cause differences of the growing of plants. Because circles of this kind in the grass often occur and the may be marked in the height of trees too! The diameters of the spheres start at some feet, the max is in the range "miles". Yes, you have read "miles" correctly! In these cases the circles will seem to be lines in the near. You can see in your first picture that the entire path is going further as a smaller line through the prairie.

My knowledge about this phenomena is: The rocks, respectively the original rocks of the ground are sedimental. At the sedimentation plantal rest will be enclosed in the layers of the sediment. Many years after sedimentation a growing of fungies starts. The hyphens of the fungies grow radially and perform a spherical shell of their front. The hyphens leave water, organic substances and mineral substances in the shells. In the case of blooming, a strong concentration in the blooming shell occurs. By this are caused strong differences of chemical features of the later rocks, which cause the differences of growing today.

A lot of the medicine wheels in Alberta are caused by this natural phenomena. The Indians have found the circles and lines and have marked them by stones.

In the Medicine Wheels and in the environment you will find further circles and lines which are not marked by stones!
